Default Take On : Helicopters

If any of you have flight joysticks, and/or care about virtual flying at all, you need to check out the new Take On series. Apparently they're going to do a lot more games along these lines, and their first one dealing with helicopters is by far the most realistic chopper game ever produced - due to its physics, world, and the types of missions. This is one of those games where you can get 75% of the way towards becoming an actual pilot by playing it, and you can have a lot of fun in the meantime.

The game has a variety of mission types. Most deal with commercial piloting and simply moving cargo or personnel around, but there are a lot of military missions as well so it has some nice variety. Don't be fooled by the marketing which makes it look like bland Flight Simulator X -type flying with nothing else to do, because the missions are well thought out, a lot of them are very intense, and a good amount of the missions are simply awesome. This game puts all "missions" within other flight sims to shame.

There is also a free demo... Check it out for yourselves.

Oh, and i guess i should mention that technically it's playable with a mouse as well, so if you just want to try the demo to see what a chopper feels like, but you don't have a flight joystick or even a gamepad, you can still give it a look.
