Yeah it is. This is one of those games where you can run around, and not really do anything and still have fun.

So I went and got sick or something, and using that excuse to kill time I started going through Borderlands a bit finally ... now I don't usually care for single player games, the zombie genre, or the whole RPG business (all of which this basically is to some degree), but nonetheless, this game is extraordinary. I must say I am very, very impressed with nearly everything about it so far.

Biggest draws are, well first thing you notice is the artwork of course, which is really unique and well done ... and after that I'd say it's their procedural content system, which actually generates stuff like weapon classes on the fly, the result of which is literally thousands of weapons that you encounter and can use as you make your way through the game.

Any a yous want to hook up for co-op, let's do it. Word is Rinku just added it to his bag ... who else is in? Anyone not got it yet, it's still going for one-third off on Steam you know....

Yes, everything is simply amazing. That was one of their USP's when pushing this game. "87 bazillion weapons". Its almost like an easter egg hunt because you constantly find weapons with different attributes.

Another cool feature that really makes the game challenging is that everything scales with you, and you cannot approach each enemy the same. Since there are elemental weapons (fire, explosive, corrosive, and shock), there are also elemental enemies.

Also, the game enemy levels scale with you, and with the number or people that play. The more people that play, the harder it is, but the better chance of finding some really awesome weapons.

I'll have to start a new class so we can get a co-op going.

I started a new character as well, Mordecai/Hunter this time, to stay even with Show. Those early-on headshots/crits are pretty cool

Yes, and the hunter has skills to increase critical damage even more. That coupled with this one class mod that gave an additional 90% of the critical damage, plus a good sniper rifle that gives another 150% of the damage makes for one nasty blow.

Theres another expansion coming out soon too.
